in some sort of funky movie (akin to ice storm). girl [parker posie] is wandering around house, trying to get away from all the brothers. brother goes downstairs, because it's mostly dark. opens the door and walks in on the sister, who doesn't have all her clothes on. she makes some annoyed comment, gets her stuff, and walks off.

..

later, the sister goes downstairs, opens a door, and sees her mother in a similar situation (taking a picture?). mother is embarassed. they pretend it didn't happen.

...

[something about leaving town.. a large truck.. coming back, concrete area outside a school.. lots of something else]

decide to look for a new sbc for the tank/car thing. the first thing i find is a 'robot computer' kit, which appears to be everything it's supposed to be. it's small, has a full computer in it, has 10 servo channels, etc.

i'm talking to the people who are selling it for a while.. it turns out it's a new product and they haven't sold many, and are sort of weird sales people.. no literature, etc., but eventually she starts explaining it to me.

there are 2 other guys in the hum-v, apparently also engineers (one of whom makes a point of being a designer as well). they explain the water in the camera enclosure that helps keep it more stable. i'm concerned that it's heavier, if i want to make it pan, but she seems to think it'd be fine (just need more leverage, or rotate around it's cog).

brad is with me. eventually i get around to wanting to buy it, realize i haven't asked the price. ask, and (thankfully) it's pretty reasonable.

remember to ask about the transmitter. it's something that connects to a regular controller. there's some hemming and hawing, from which we realize that the design is still a work in progress, and they're not sure what it's actually going to look like. it doesn't matter that much it doesn't seem, though.

later i realize that i didn't make sure the cpu is fast enough to compress video. but they were showing cameras, so i'm confused.

trying to convince them to support me, even though i'm not actually doing anything. the thing i wuld be doing someone else is doing. but i could be doing a flying machine, which is sufficiently exciting that they go for it.
